International Linkages

The promotion of cooperation between agricultural research institutes at the national and international levels is one of the stated duties of the Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP).

Through bilateral agreements between SLCARP and Agricultural Research Institute at the National and International Levels, conducting agriculture R&D with the aim of increasing production and bolstering the research skills of the scientific community, particularly in those areas where there is a dearth of trained scientists, is one of our mandated functions of SLCARP.

SLCARP has developed links to promote inter-regional and inter-institutional cooperation within the following Institutes:

  • Asia-Pacific region for development of NARS in the country providing opportunities for technology and information sharing through APAARI,
