The two Workshops on Uplifting Financial Capacity of Young Agri-Entrepreneurs was held on 18th October and 16th November 2023, respectively at SLCARP. The objective of this workshop was to identify the entrepreneurs to develop the model and their issues related to business and financial literacy.

The Chairman of SLCARP, Dr. J. D. H. Wijewardena, welcomed the attendees and gave an introduction explaining the objectives of the workshop. Dr. Chandana Jayawardhana of the Development Finance Corporation of Ceylon (DFCC) and Mr. Madava Sandaruwan participated in a discussion with the attendees in order to identify the entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneur success stories, business and financial literacy, and assessment of entrepreneurs and issues related to entrepreneurship were discussed. These workshops facilitated the exchange of insights among participants and cleared the path by sharing the experiences.

Following a productive discussion, Dr. (Mrs.) S.M.P. Chandra Padmini, DDRM, SLCARP expressed her gratitude to each and every participant for sharing their thoughts.
