The National Committee members of the Food Crop Sector met at PGRC, Peradeniya on 18th July 2024, both physically and online, to discuss the research priorities for the sector. Dr. W. D. R. S. K. Wasala, Additional Director General of Research at the Department of Agriculture, chaired the committee meeting.   Mr Prabath Wimal Kumara, the Secretary/ Director of SLCARP, Dr. S. M. P. Chandra Padmini, the Deputy Director of Research Management at SLCARP, National Committee members, including researchers, private sector participants, and academics, engaged in discussions to finalize the research priorities document for the food crop sector. Dr. Thikshani Somarathna, Senior Scientist at SLCARP, coordinated the activities of the meeting.
