The Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP) is proud to announce that the
National Awards for Excellence in Agricultural Research to be held on 09 th December 2024 at
Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA), Colombo 07 at 9:30am –
12:30pm. This prestigious event will recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions to
agricultural research and innovation in Sri Lanka.

The Chief Guest for this occasion will be Mr. K. D. Lalkantha, Hon. Minister, Ministry of
Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation. We are also honored to welcome Mr. Namal
Karunaratne, Hon. Deputy Minister, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation, as
the Guest of Honor.

This event will recognizing excellent research and innovations conducted in the agricultural
sector, aiming to inspire continued advancements and strengthen Sri Lanka’s agricultural
research landscape.
