Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP) conducted the National Awards for Excellence in Agricultural Research 2023 & 2025 on 23^rd of October, 2025, at the Lotus Hall, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo 07 under the distinguished patronage of His Excellency Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.  The awarding ceremony was further dignified by the presence of Hon. K.D. Lalkantha, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation, Hon. K.V. Samantha Vidyaratna, Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure and Hon. Namal Karunaratne, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation.

This prestigious ceremony not only recognized the exceptional achievements of agricultural scientists in Sri Lanka but also served as a dynamic platform to showcase groundbreaking innovations and research outputs to key stakeholders including policymakers, private sector partners, and the scientific community.
