𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐈𝐓 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐡𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐋𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐏 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP) successfully hosted a delegation from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi on 20th April 2026 at SLCARP premises. The visiting delegation Professor Shilpi Sharma, Associate Dean Academics at IIT Delhi. The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss potential postgraduate training opportunities at IIT Delhi for young Research Officers attached to Sri Lanka’s National Agricultural Research System (NARS). During the discussion, Professor Sharma introduced the diverse academic and research programs available at IIT Delhi and highlighted avenues for collaboration, capacity building, and knowledge exchange. Under the leadership of Professor R.S. Dharmakeerthi, Chairman of the SLCARP, discussed international partnerships aimed at enhancing the skills of early-career researchers in Sri Lanka. The interaction provided a valuable platform for both parties to explore future collaborations and to support the professional development of Sri Lankan scientists through exposure to world-class research and training opportunities.
