Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP) successfully conducted the Annual Training Program on "Information for Agricultural Research Managers (INFORM) – 2026" on 24–25 June and 02–03 July 2026 at the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture (PGIA), University of Peradeniya.

The training program was organized for INFORM Coordinators representing institutions under the National Agricultural Research System (NARS). The objective of the training was to enhance the awareness of the INFORM Database for newly appointed Coordinators, while providing an opportunity to discuss issues related to database management and the preparation of the database.

The program commenced with the inaugural session chaired by Dr. S. M. P. C. Padmini, Deputy Director (Research Management), SLCARP, highlighting the significance of strengthening institutional capacity for effective research information management.

The technical sessions were conducted by Dr. Padmini Girihagama, Former Deputy Director (Research Management), SLCARP, who provided comprehensive training on the INFORM database and its various modules.
